Tell Us What You'd Like to See

Greetings!

Believe it or not, it was just about one year ago that the Parent Network was created. A few parents and a subscription to Constant Contact (our e-newsletter) has helped us grow and gain support. Thank you to everyone including our board, faculty, community members, and especially all of you (our parents) for making this possible. You input has directed us to coordinate family and kid friendly events such as the Safety and Wellness Fair, Swimming Lessons, and Fall Fun at the Farm. We have also worked towards enhancing our campus with a very successful Clean Up Day (thanks Lori Kunz) at the Vesper Lane Campus. Please keep your suggestions and comments coming our way - we listen and will do our best to make it happen.

There continues to be a lot of exciting things happening at Small Friends. We hope you can join us for one of the information workshops to learn about our Building Dreams Campaign and the progress of the new building. With a nine month schedule, we should be celebrating moving-in by September 2008! Also, make sure to check out the Festival of Trees, attend Marjory Trott's workshop on December 6th "Massage and Calming Touch for Young Children", and take a field trip to see our honorable mention, award winning tree in front of Sweet Inspirations!

There is more detailed information below. Thanks for reading and please let us know how we're doing!

Lori Kunz, Kim Remick, Moira Parsons - Infants
Sally Remick and Paige Blashfield - Young Toddlers

Now until Mid-December

Small Friends is again participating in the Classrooms Care Program through Scholastic Books. The program is designed to encourage parents to make time to read to their children at this busy time of year as well as to make new books available to children in need.

Please fill in a space on the heart chart, located in the entryways at both school, for each book you and your child read at home this month. When we reach 100 books, Scholastic will donate 100 books in Small Friends' name to children in need.  Thanks for particiapting. For more information, contact Sue Bellanger!
