July 2010 Event Under the Tent
The 2010 Event Under the Tent and Nantucket Folk Art and Artisan Show was held on July 15,16 and 17 at Bartletts Farm. Thursday’s Preview Party opened the show and was a wonderful opportunity to meet the artists, have first pick of their beautiful wares and enjoy a cocktail with friends. On Friday and Saturday more than 1,200 people visited 61 vendors who traveled from as far away as Florida and Indiana for our 19th annual show.
Special thanks to Nantucket Looms and Cheney Brothers Building and Remodeling for major sponsorship of our largest fundraising event of the year. Other sponsors are listed on this page and we hope the community will support these businesses as they support us. Numerous volunteers worked several months to stage this event. However, Stephanie Hall and Becky Pereaner must be noted for their leadership as co-chairs for the 2010 show. Without their tireless efforts the show would not have taken place.
And of course we thank those who attended this year’s event and hope they found something they liked. Look for us again next year at the 2011 Event Under the Tent and Nantucket Folk Art and Artisan Show.
