Letter from the Co-Chairs
The Small Friends Building Dreams Capital Campaign Committee has undertaken to raise the funds necessary to build a well designed, Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certified early education and care facility for Small Friends on Nantucket. We believe that Small Friends is an integral part of the fabric that binds our island together, providing a service crucial to the island’s economy and sustainability. Small Friends is Nantucket’s only year round, full time center serving infants and toddlers as well as preschool aged children. In addition, it is the island’s only full time center which is also accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). We are committed to providing the community of Nantucket with an environmentally responsible facility designed for the education and care of our youngest children.
